Sit Volleyball

Adaptive Volleyball welcomes all members. Otherwise knows as sit volleyball, games are normally played seated with a lowered net.  In this program, the net will be raised and lowered depending upon participants' preference.

Try wheelchair basketball! This challenging, fun program welcomes both disabled and able-bodied athletes, from ages 13-23. Beginner and advanced players are welcome.

This program is accessible for people with disabilities.

Compete in wheelchair basketball at McCarren, whether you're experienced or new at the sport.  It's challenging, fast-paced and exciting.

Both disabled and able-bodied athletes are welcome.  The program is for adults 18 and up. For more information you can email Laura.Nunez@parks.nyc.gov.

Accessible Activities

You may use any of Parks' recreational spaces, except tennis courts, without a permit. However, if a permit holder arrives with a valid permit in hand, you must vacate the field or court. An individual must have a season permit or single-play ticket to use Parks' tennis courts.

Organized play (leagues) requires a permit. Click here for an application and more information about permits.
