Adaptive Basketball is McCarren's wheelchair basketball program, open to both disabled and able-bodied New Yorkers.  Sports wheelchairs are provided, so anyone can join!  Wheelchair basketball is challenging and, most of all, fun.

Come learn the basics of adaptive sports such as: Wheelchair Basketball, Wheelchair Football, Wheelchair tennis, Wheelchair Floor Hockey, Wheelchair Softball, Sled Hockey(on ice), Sitting Volleyball, Adapted Swimming, Power Wheelchair Soccer, Track and Field Events.

 Wheelchairs are provided for use in the program.

For Ages 5 and Up with a physical disability.

Must register for the program and must be a Recreation Center member.

Accessible Activities

You may use any of Parks' recreational spaces, except tennis courts, without a permit. However, if a permit holder arrives with a valid permit in hand, you must vacate the field or court. An individual must have a season permit or single-play ticket to use Parks' tennis courts.
